He Poutama Rangatahi is a support programme for rangatahi aged 15–24 who are not currently in employment, education, or training (NEET). We work alongside each rangatahi to identify their strengths, aspirations, and goals, providing personalised support to overcome barriers and build confidence.

Through mentoring, career planning, skills development, work readiness, and connections to employers, training providers, and education opportunities, we support rangatahi to transition into employment, education, or training and achieve long-term success.

To be eligible for He Poutama Rangatahi, you must:

Rangatahi can refer themselves or be referred by whānau. Schools, employers, or other community organisations may also refer – contact hpr@whyora.co.nz for a referral form.

Our programme is delivered over 26 weeks, with a minimum of 15 hours of engagement each week, followed by 26 weeks of ongoing post-placement support to help participants successfully transition into employment, education, or training.
